Swift magazine ads
Few aircraft have generated as much interest as the Globe Swift. Due to the success of Globe Aircraft's national advertising campaign in 1944, 1945, and 1946; there was a tremendous backlog of orders. Early ads all depict the original GC-1 Swift. Later ads feature a messaging change to the "All Metal Swift" as the GC-1A is readied for market. You can also see changes as the 125hp GC-1B is released.
Unfortunately, the success of Globe's marketing campaign wasn't reflected in it's business practices. Poor accounting and supply management means Globe Aircraft is destined for bankrupcy. TEMCO takes over the remaining aircraft sales and assumes the manufacturing rights to the aircraft.
